Network Systems Administrator

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Employment is contingent upon successful background checks and the ability to obtain and maintain the appropriate PGCB license for this position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Build & Manage the Network: Design, implement, and oversee all network infrastructure, including routing, switching, VLANs, Wi-Fi, and VoIP systems.
- Own Network Security: Enforce critical security measures such as segmentation, firewall rules, and Network Access Control (NAC)
- Support Core Systems: Administer servers and key business applications, ensuring seamless integration with the network.
- Lead Physical Installation: Lead the physical installation and build-out of IT infrastructure, providing technical leadership to staff and managing vendors throughout the launch phase.
- Ensure Compliance: Maintain strict PGCB and PCI-DSS compliance across all systems, with clear, detailed documentation.
- Documentation management: Network diagrams, SOPs, ICs/PCI evidence logs.
- Patch & Vulnerability Management: Own patching for network/server platforms, including firmware lifecycles and planned maintenance windows.
- Monitoring & Incident Response: Operate and improve monitoring/alerting (e.g., syslog/SIEM/NMS); lead incident response and post-incident reviews.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: May provide day-to-day direction to 1–3 IT technicians/contractors. Participates in hiring, onboarding, and performance feedback in coordination with the Director of IT. Acts as incident commander when delegated.
- On-Call (24/7 Environment): Participate in a rotating, occasional after-hours on-call schedule to support a 24/7 casino environment, including evenings/weekends for maintenance windows and critical incidents.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Comfortable with the physical demands of installing/maintaining IT equipment (up to 50 lbs.).
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Work may occur on the casino floor and in confined network spaces.
